Tracey Ashworth: Artistic Director / Senior Acting Coach

A trained actress whose background is in theatre and on screen, she continues to write, direct, act and produce alongside her
teaching responsibilities. Tracey is a much sought after acting coach working closely with not only professional actors but also
up and coming faces.
Tracey has been teaching children in theatre for over fifteen years.
An expert LAMDA vocational examination tutor, her average mark is a distinction (the top mark) across a wide range of
disciplines. Tracey also specialises in LAMDA medal training (Gold, Silver and Bronze) across all disciplines in which again her
average mark is a distinction.

Tracey is a rare drama teacher because she was lucky enough to receive film and television training alongside theatre. This
has been crucial in nurturing Angels students who have proved remarkably successful in this area.
Tracey is a passionate practitioner of mime and Commedia dell'arte.

She works with all the members of the Angels team, particularly focussing on pastoral care with Sue Spong, development of
the agency with Sheila Ashworth and future projects with the production team.

In 2010 the production team will take a new leap forward in developing our very own arts council funded professional theatre
company with classical theatre at its core, specializing in nurturing up and coming talent in all areas of production.

Lucy Spong: Dance Teacher

Lucy has trained since the age of four in ballet, jazz, modern and tap and is qualified to teach dance to ISTD and RAD
exam standard.
A gifted choreographer, Lucy’s range extends from ballet to hip- hop. Perhaps inevitably, her love of dance has led to
a great affinity with mime, which she has been studying for some time. As a result, she is already teaching mime
within the school. Teaching LAMDA mime candidates, as well as acting and speech grades, Lucy's students have
achieved excellent results across a range of disciplines.
Sue Spong: Treasurer / Pastoral Carer

Sue takes care of the financial aspects of the school and organises all our social events and front of house entertainment.
As Sue is often the first person that an Angels parent or student comes into contact with, she works closely with Tracey
ensuring that each student finds the right class and building relationships with their families. Dialogue has been crucial to the
school’s development.
Sheila Ashworth: Wings Agency

Wings is a Film, TV and Theatre Agency affiliated to Angels. Set up to support students with aspirations to work, Wings was
founded in response to our frustration that Angels students were not being served effectively.
In the five years since it was established, Wings has become a recognised theatrical agency regularly supplying young people
to film, television and stage. Within the industry it is fast building a reputation for children who are ‘real’, with a professional
standard of skills.
In recent months, Sheila has placed children in projects as diverse as Silent Witness, V for Vendetta, Flyboys, Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang, Eel Island , Living It, My Family and Becoming Jane.
